ICC T20 World Cup 2014 Schedule
Cricket have evolved so much in the last decade and with the introduction of T20 cricket fans get to watch fast paced matches of highest standards more frequently than the past. The next edition of the T20 World Cup will held in Bangladesh and there are some major changes in the formate of the most exciting cricket event in this world, we will discuss at length of next world cup which will held in and around March – April in 2014.



ICC T20 World Cup 2014 Details:
Hosting Country: Bangladesh
Start Date: 16 March 2014
Finish Date: 6 April 2014
Number of Teams: 16 (10 ICC Full Members + 6 Qualified)

ICC Twenty20 World Cup ScheduleThe schedule has not been announced yet but we will be placing the full fixture list once ICC will announce the big event.  The T20 World Cup fixture list is expected to be announced.

ICC World Twenty20 Teams & Format:
ICC has decided to put more teams in the next years T20 World Cup, and there will be 10 full members of ICC while 6 teams will come from world twenty20 Qualifiers
With 16 teams participating in the next years T20 World Cup we will have 4 groups of 4 teams each, and every team in the group will play three matches and the top 2 from every group will make it to the Quarterfinals and than the Semifinals and Final.
Match Hosting Cities
Bangladesh is not a big country and there will only be 4 cities who will host around 35 matches in the competition in the span of 23 days. This four cities and stadiums are as follow.
Confirmed Venues:
  1. Dhaka, Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium
  2. Chittagong, Zohur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium
  3. Sylhet, Sylhet Stadium
  4. Chittagong, Cox’s Bazar Cricket Stadium
Bangladesh (BCB) in danger of losing T20 World Cup 2014 hosting rights: UPDATE
Bangladesh might lose their right to host the ICC Cricket T20 World Cup next year, according to International Cricket Council (ICC) they are not happy with the developments in the Bangladesh and that they orgnization of the event is not up to the mark. Although ICC will give a couple of more months to bangladesh to change things around.
Alternative Hosting countries.
Sri Lanka and South Africa are the reserved places for hosting the next year event in case Bangladesh are unable to meet the standards..
